KHS Guidance Dept. goes “Green” with Naviance Succeed System

The Kings High School Guidance Department is going “Green.” This year they are unveiling the new “paperless college application process” called Naviance Succeed. It will be implemented for the Class of 2011.

Kings Homecoming Race and Chicken Dinner

Homecoming week is Sept. 20-25! Festivities include the Kings Homecoming 5K and Mile Fun Run, the annual pre-game chicken dinner, Homecoming Parade, football game and dance.

Welcome Back

We are excited to start another year at Kings Local Schools! On Tuesday, Aug. 24 our 2-12 graders started classes. Students were finding their way around the buildings, teachers were quick to start the learning process and everyone was glad to be among friends again.

Kings Earns "Excellent" Rating

On Aug. 20 the Ohio Department of Education released district and state report card rankings. Kings Local Schools earned the highest possible ranking, Excellent, for the 10th consecutive year.

Teachers Spend Summer Break Serving

It was an eventful and fulfilling summer for two Kings’ staff members. Jessica Donohue, Social Studies teacher at CES, and Angie Niemann, special needs preschool teacher at JFB, traveled to New Orleans with Crossroads Church for a mission trip.

Kings Girls Soccer Kicks it into Gear

The Kings High School Women's Soccer Team went to the Adidas National Showcase Soccer Tournament July 17-18 and played seven games.

Matt Jenkins a Star of Indiana

On Friday night, Aug. 13, Kings Mills Elementary music teacher Matt Jenkins will perform with the Star of Indiana Drum and Bugle Corps at the Drum Corps International World Championships in Lucas Oil Stadium (home to the Indianapolis Colts) for a crowd of 30,000 fans!

Kings Welcomes New Principal to Kings Junior High

Kings Local School District is pleased to welcome Mr. Timothy Spinner as the new Principal for Kings Junior High. Mr. Spinner, current principal at Edgewood Middle School, will start at KJH this August.

Kings Senior Class and Mason-Deerfield Rotary Club Participate in National Day of Service

The Kings Local School District’s senior class and Mason-Deerfield Rotary Club are jointly participating in the National Day of Service and Remembrance on September 11th. This day has been established as a day for Americans to join in service and remember the lives we lost and honor the heroes who responded in our hour of need September 11, 2001.

KME Teachers Join Forces for 3-day Walk for the Cure

This summer Tina Strosnider, Lynn Jenkins, Robyn Bersani and Michelle Schumacher, four teachers from Kings Mills Elementary, will walk 60 miles along the streets of Detroit to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
