Posted on: January 8, 2016

The Kings High School Digital Media Arts Program is  proud to announce this year's winners for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, Portfolio Category. Over 90 portfolios were submitted and only 12 were chosen. We are thrilled to report that 7 of those portfolios are from KHS AP Digital Media Arts students!  Congratulations to Mackenzie Mettey, Abbey Ketterer, Grace Ficke, Emily Hoyle, Corrine Brown, Morgan Fitzgerald, and Katrina Kessler. Winners for individuals categories will be announced Friday.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the longest running, most prestigious competition and largest source of scholarships for teenagers in the United States. An art portfolio consists of 8 works and is judged based on originality, level of technical proficiency, and emergence of personal style or vision. The portfolios of these students will now compete at the national level for $10,000 scholarships.
