In Memory of Kaylyn Daumeyer

Posted on: August 10, 2015

Dear Kings Parents and Community Members:

It is with deep sadness that we inform you about a recent loss to our school community.  This past weekend, KJH 8th grader Kaylyn Daumeyer passed away after being involved in a tragic accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with her parents, Paul and Lori, and brother Trey during this difficult time.  This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for the entire school, especially our students.

Kings Local Schools has a Crisis Intervention Team made up of professionals trained to help with the needs of students, parents, and school personnel at difficult times such as this.  There will be counselors available at the KJH Multipurpose Room from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11.

We will also have extra counselors available over the next several days to assist our school community. Our own counselors, social workers, and psychologists will work closely with this team and then continue to be available for students who need continuing services.

We are deeply saddened by this loss and will do everything we can to help you and your families.

Sincerely,

Tim Ackermann
Superintendent
