2016 Kings Homecoming 5K a Success
Posted on: October 5, 2016
It was a beautiful evening for a run through Kings Mills for the 21st Annual Kings Homecoming 5k and Mile Fun Run. Over 150 runners took advantage of the great weather for some exercise and friendly competition.
Overall male winner was Ian Gorley and female winner was Brooke Garter. Several Kings employees participated and Aaron Bunker and Peggy Allen continued their reign as top staff members.
Race organizers, Kings Cross Country and Track Coaches, Lynn and Jim Brant noted that this year's event was one of the largest participation rates to date. They also commented that Columbia Intermediate Staff had the largest participation. Lynn Brant said, "What great camaraderie they showed as a staff!"
