For the past two years, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has provided waivers to Child Nutrition Programs across the United States, allowing these programs to offer all students breakfast and lunch meals at no charge, regardless of income status. This waiver has expired.  Free and Reduced Meals remain available however an application for the program is now required.

We encourage all families to complete a Free/Reduced Meal Application so the student’s eligibility can be evaluated based on the program guidelines. Students who do not qualify for Free/Reduced Meals will be charged full price for purchasing meals.

Please click on the link below to complete your application today!

What do Parents Need to Know?

  • If you completed an application during the 2021-22 school year and were eligible this application will be valid ONLY for the first 30 days of the 2022-2023 school year. To maintain eligibility, you will need to complete a new application for the 2022-23 school year prior to Monday 9/26/2022.
  • All students needing meal support with no application currently on file will need to complete an application before the start of school. Upon the application being processed each family will be notified for each student’s eligibility. Families can apply to the program online from the Kings Local School Webpage, or you can print an application.
